Julianne Hauser O'Neill passed away peacefully in her home on August 24, 2013. The breast cancer she fought hard to conquer 7 years ago had returned and she lost this last battle.

Julie was born July 26, 1935 in Los Angeles, CA to Ray Virgil Hauser and Maydell Camblin Hauser. She graduated from Dorsey High School in Los Angeles in 1953. She attended UCLA and was a member of the Delta Gamma sorority. She met the love of her life, Ted O'Neill, in Tijuana, Mexico. They married in 1958 and spent 48 loving years together until Ted preceded her in death in 2006.

She had a great love for bird-watching, reading, and solving crossword puzzles. She loved all trees and was a loyal conservationist. For the past 44 years, she dearly missed her cherished Coronado, CA and would visit there every chance she had.

Julie is survived by her daughter Jennifer O'Neill of Plantersville, TX; son Timothy Shane O'Neill of The Woodlands, TX; daughter and son-in-law Susan and Kirk Paschall of Waxahachie, TX; grandchildren Caitlin, Lauren, and Tristan Paschall all of Waxahachie, TX; sister and brother-in-law Johanna and Harold Best of Fresno, CA; dear friend Nancy Wells of Plantersville, TX; several nieces and nephews, and many friends across the country.

She wished to have friends and family honor her in their own way with prayers and remembrances. There will be no formal service in keeping with her request. Her cremains will be scattered on her beloved Pacific Ocean at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the Big Sur Land Trust, P.O. Box 4071, Monterey, CA, 93942 (www.bigsurlandtrust.org) or the Friends of Aransas and Matagorda Island National Wildlife Refuge (FAMI), PO Box 803, Port O'Connor, TX 77982 (www.friendsofaransas.org/donate) or the .
