SILVERO RAMIREZ RODRIGUEZ, went to be with our Lord on February 27, 2013, surrounded by his loving family, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Silvero was born on June 20, 1948, in Valle Hermoso Tamaulipas, Mexico, to Estanislao Rodriguez and San Juana Ramirez Rodriguez.
After graduating from Lamar Consolidated in Rosenberg, Texas, Silvero attended Texas A&M University before serving in the U. S. Army. After being honorably discharged, in 1972, he began his long career with Humble Oil Pipeline. In 2003, he retired from ExxonMobil Pipeline and continued working as a consultant until he fell ill.
Silvero was a devoted Dallas Cowboy and Texas Aggie fan. He also enjoyed golfing, fishing, bowling, playing cards with his family; and most importantly spending time with his beloved grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his mother, San Juana Ramirez Rodriguez. Silvero is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Janie Luna Rodriguez of Sugar Land; his father, E.P. and Luisa Rodriguez of Richmond; daughter, Belinda Bonilla and husband Jose of Sugar Land; son, Lawrence Rodriguez and wife Lydia of League City; daughter, Patricia McCulloch and husband Wyatt of Willis; and son, Raymond Michael Rodriguez of Sugar Land. He is also survived by siblings, Frances Hernandez, Josie Trevino, Jesse Rodriguez and wife Alice, Isabel Martinez and husband Luciano, Gloria Hoehne and husband Ruben, Gilbert Rodriguez and wife Betty, and Tina Zamora and husband Johnny; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and other loving family and friends.
Friends are invited to a visitation with the family from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Sunday, March 3, 2013, at The Settegast-Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 PM, on Monday, March 4, 2013, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 705 St. Theresa Blvd., Sugar Land.
