Alfred A. Faxon III, 70, of Moorestown, NJ passed away at his home on Friday, November 30th, 2012.
Born in Camden, NJ to Alfred A. Faxon, Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Haig Faxon on December 21st, 1941, he lived most of his life in Moorestown. Alfred was a graduate of Trinity College in Hartford, CT '63 and Rutgers Law School, Camden, NJ, '66 Juris Doctor. He clerked for Assignment Judge Edward Martino AJSC after law school and was a member of the United States Air Force Reserves JAG until 1977. Alfred, a longtime member of the Burlington County Bar Association became a partner in the Mount Holly firm of Hartman, Schlesinger, Schlosser, & Faxon before going into practice on his own. He served as the counsel for Delanco Federal Savings & Loan for many years and later served as a municipal court judge in Burlington County for more than 20-years including appointments in Beverly, Edgewater Park, Hainesport, Lumberton, Medford, and Palmyra. Alfred was a Paul Harris Fellow in the Rotary Club of Beverly for many years.
Alfred was a dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife Roberta, sons Austin of Cream Ridge, Colin (Olivia) of Middlesex, Jon of Harrisonville, daughter Jessica (Dan) of Moorestown, as well as four grandchildren Kinley, William, Hailey, and Hannah.
A viewing will be held at Lewis Funeral Home located at 78 East Main Street, Moorestown, NJ on Monday, December 3rd, 2012 between 6 and 8 PM. Funeral Services will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church, located at 207 West Main Street, Moorestown, NJ on Tuesday, December 4th, 2012 at 10:30 AM.
