AGE: 83 • Moorestown

James N. Curry, age 83, of Moorestown, passed away at his home Sunday, November 24, 2013, after an extended illness. Born in Phila., PA, he was the son of the late James and Thelma. He grew up in Camden, NJ and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1948. After graduation, Jim entered the US Navy for two years followed by an enlistment in the US Marine Corp. He was honorably discharged 3 years later as a staff sergeant. In 1954, after the service, Jim married Mary T. (nee Geoghegan) and moved to Pennsauken where he resided for 28 years. Jim graduated from Pierce College. He proceeded to work in various accounting positions for RCA/GE where he retired after 30 years. Jim and Mary were charter members of the Camden Catholic Wrestling booster club. He enjoyed golf, dining out and most of all spending time with his wife, 3 children and seven grandchildren. During his final years of illness, Jim was lovingly cared for by Lighthouse Hospice of Cherry Hill, who kept him comfortable and at peace until the very end. Jim is survived by his wife Mary of 59 years; his three children, daughter Janice (Edward) Curry-Lambert, son James and son Raymond (Deborah). Grandfather of Kurt, Shannon, Julianne, Rosemarie, Jim, Will and Erica. Dear brother of Thelma Koopman, Arlene Marshall (Joseph), June Moore and Anthony Curry (Judy); brother in law to Rita Nardi and the late Helen Heisler. He is also survived by longtime daughter in law Nancy Curry as well as many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends of the family are kindly invited to attend his Visitation Tuesday evening from 7:00pm- 9:00pm and Wednesday morning from 8:30am- 9:30am at the FUNERAL HOME OF INGLESBY & SONS, 2426 Cove Road. Pennsauken, NJ 08109. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00am at Mary, Queen of All Saints, Pennsauken.Interment Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill. In lieu of flowers donations to Camden Catholic High School, 300 Cuthbert Blvd., Cherry Hill, NJ 08002 or the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 preferred.
