Grant Weaber III, sister Edith Hunsberger, her partner, Judith Connolly and nephews Franklin and Stephen Hunsberger.
After graduating from Haddonfield Memorial High School, Haddonfield, NJ, Ken earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering in 1970 at Princeton University, Princeton, NJ and a Master of Food Science (ABT) at the University of Illinois, Urbana, IL. While working in Research & Development for M&M Mars, Elizabethtown, PA for 25 years he earned two U.S. patents in chocolate process engineering.
An active member of Grandview United Methodist Church, Ken served on multiple committees but focused primarily on mission and service projects with youth and adult groups. Since 2000 he led or participated in over 20 service projects in Appalachia, the Gulf Coast after Katrina, Atlantic City, Grenada, Haiti and Cuba.
Ken and his family resided in Lancaster for 35 years where he was a founding member of The New School of Lancaster. In 2006 he was honored with the "Technical Achievement Award" by the Mid-Pennsylvania Council of Engineers, and focused on educating youth about the opportunities within engineering through the "What in the World" project of the North Museum.
While regarded as a true Renaissance man by his friends, Ken met with critical success during his 10 years as the Roman God of Wine, Bacchus, at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Festival.
Ken's life was marked by an intense curiosity, a delight in science and technology, a love of reading and participation in his local Great Books Discussion Group, and above all, a joy in sharing, listening, and conversing with friends and family.
