Robert Donald "Bob" Lobe, of Delran, NJ, passed away peacefully February 5, 2014 with his family at his side following a brief illness. Born November 20, 1932 in Philadelphia to Mae and Otto Lobe, who both preceded him in death, he was 81. A devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Bob was married for 57 years to Barbara L. Lobe (nee Hallowell), who survives him. Together they raised three children who also survive him: Leslie Follebout (Roger); Robert Lobe (Debora) and Glenn Lobe of Delran. Bob also leaves behind five grandchildren, a great grandson, a sister, Doris Gillespie, two nephews and a great number of friends.
He was employed by the Keebler Company for 44 years. He was also a US Army Korean War veteran. An accomplished golfer, he and Barb also loved to travel.
A celebration of Bob's life will be held on Saturday, March 8 at the First United Methodist Church in Moorestown, NJ. Family and friends may visit from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. with a service immediately following. Interment will be private in the church's memorial garden.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the music ministry of First United Methodist Church or to Animal Adoption Center PO Box 4017, Lindenwold, NJ 08021.
