Samuel G. Dickinson Jr.

AGE: 87 • Cherry Hill

Samuel G. Dickinson Jr. of Cherry Hill and Reeds Beach, NJ, died Wednesday, November 27, 2013. He was 87. He was born in Camden, NJ, the son of Samuel and Sarah (Glenn) Dickinson. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1944, Drexel University in 1960 where he was class president and member of the Cross Keys Fraternity. He proudly served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a member of the Rising Sun Lodge #15 F & AM, Haddonfield.

Sam is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jean Sharp Dickinson, his children Lynn and Mark Dickinson and predeceased his son Drew. He is grandfather to Andrew, Matt and Alexander Dickinson, Samantha (Dickinson) and husband Adam Tucker, Christian, Victoria, and predeceased by Lindsay Jean Iannarone. He is uncle to Jean Beans (Ron), Kathleen Maass, Jesse Maass, brother in law to Jessie Maass, cousin to Janet Morgan (Russ), and great uncle to many loving great nieces and nephews. Sam was a man of great faith,a loving husband, father, grandfather and will be dearly missed by all.

Sam retired from Westinghouse after 25 years' service as Division Manager for Power Generation with a worldwide portfolio of power generation projects. He was an avid fisherman and Owner of Captain Sam's Marina in Reeds Beach, NJ.

Visitation will be at 10 am Friday December 6, 2013, at the Haddonfield United Methodist Church, 29 Warwick Rd. Haddonfield NJ 08033. Services will begin at 11 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations go to the Haddonfield United Methodist Church. Arrangements are by Lechner Funeral Home, Medford. Condolences can be sent at
