Addison E. Riepe, 92, of Evansville, passed away at 7:50 pm, Friday, January 24, 2014 at St. Mary's Medical Center.
Addison was born March 22, 1921 in Evansville the son of the late Benjamin and Ottilia (Oehlman) Riepe and was a 1938 graduate of Bosse High School. Addison was a 1942 graduate of Indiana University where he received his Bachelor's Degree of Science in Business Administration. He worked briefly as controller for St. Mary's Hospital and then as controller for Atlas Van Lines for 20 years, retiring in 1984. He had previously worked for Servel, Inc. from 1951-1957 and Arkla Industries from 1957-1964. Addison was Emeritus Life Associate for Institute of Management Accounts where he had been a member since 1953 and was president of the Evansville Chapter from 1967-1968. He enjoyed traveling with his family, especially his late wife, Billie. Addison was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was an avid sports fan and loved I.U. basketball, golf, St. Louis Cardinals, the Colts and the Green Bay Packers.
He is survived by son, Steve of Evansville; sister, Gayle Carter (Bob) of Evansville; niece, Jane Ann Cotton of Newton, IA; nephew, Jim Hermann (Jan) and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 59 years, Billie Riepe in 2004 and his beloved cat, Tiger.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 am, Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel - 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville with Pastor Don Gray officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9 am until time of service at 11 am, Thursday at Boone Funeral Home - East Chapel.
