Barbara Ann (Kirves) Powless
Evansville, Ind.
Barbara Ann (Kirves) Powless, 73, of Evansville, Indiana, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 1, 2014 at Parkview Care Center.
Barbara was born in Bowling Green, Kentucky on December 14, 1940 to the late Milton and Evelyn (Lowery) Kirves. Barbara retired as a bookkeeper from Diamond Foods in 1995 after many years of service. She was a member of a Bridge Club for 55 years, Oak Hill Evangelical Church, the Tuesday Morning Bible Study and was a leader of the AIC Sunday School Class. Barbara especially loved being with her family, traveling to Florida and going on cruises.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 56 years, James Powless; daughters, Jamia Wildt (Tim), Julie Mullen (Greg); sons, Michael Powless (Diane) all of Evansville, IN, Tad Powless (Krystal) of Boonville, IN; grandchildren, Scott Moore (Allison), Stephanie Moore, Kimberly Powless (Josh), Jamie Powless, Stephan Mullen, Kaci Powless, Katelyn Powless, Karley Powless, Adam Wildt; great grandchildren, Landon Wildt, Riley Moore, Jack Moore, Tucker Moore, Caiden Moore, Claire Griffin and Avery Moore.
Barbara is preceded in death by a grandson, Allen Wildt and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday August 5, 2014 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Avenue, Evansville, IN 47711 with Rev. Mark Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery.
Friends may visit from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday August 4, 2014 at Browning Funeral Home and again from 9:00 AM until service time on Tuesday.
