Bob Davis
Mount Vernon, Ind.
Bobby E. "Bob" Davis, 77, of Mt. Vernon, went to be with the Lord Sunday, November 4, 2012, at Mt. Vernon Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born in Eldorado, Ill., on September 13, 1935, to Walter and Lodella (Curry) Davis.
Bob served in the Navy where he worked as a Firefighter. He was a member of the Mt. Vernon Conservation Club, National Rifle Association and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his father; and his son, Stephen Davis.
Bob is survived by his wife, Majoria "Joyce" (Erwin) Bush Davis; sons, Bryan Davis (Linda) and Duane Bush (Karla), all of Saline, Mich.; daughter, Marcy Ruff (Tom), of Wildwood, Mo.; mother, Lodella Brown; grandchildren, Douglas Davis, Kaegan, McKayla, Elsie, Logan and Landon Bush, Brittany Ruff and Emily Jameson; brothers, Walter Davis Jr.(Angie), of Boonville, and James Davis (Ann), of Carmi, Ill.; sisters, Jeanie Lutz (Rick), of Chandler, Shelly Turner, of Vienna, Ill., and Seth Ann Chastain (Kevin), of Wayne City, Ill.; brother and sister in law, Bump and Beep McGennis; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday November 7, 2012, at Schneider Funeral Home 512 Main St. in Mt. Vernon, with burial to follow in Bellefontaine Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4 until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation Unity Walk in memory of Bob.
