Donald Robinson, 75, of Evansville, passed away at 11:47 p.m. Saturday, November 16, 2013, at Deaconess Hospital.
Donald was born March 5, 1938 in Evansville, the son of Henry and Kathryn (Harris) Robinson, and was a graduate of Central High School. He was a member of Vann Avenue Baptist Church. Donald was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Korean War. He was a member of Charles Denby VFW Post # 2953, American Legion Eugene Pate Post #265, and was involved in The Forty and Eight Veterans Organization. Donald retired from Whirlpool after 43 years of service.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Mary (Horning) Robinson, of Evansville; sons, Denver Robinson (Kelli) and William Robinson (Suzanne), both of Evansville; sister, Shirley Richard,s of Evansville; seven grandchildren, Amanda, Stephanie, Mallory, Tyler, Blake, Ashley and Bryce; and nine great-grandchildren, Quentin, Skylar, Jace, Ella, Emma, Parker, Rebecca, Brittney and Lucas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark Robinson; and brother, William "Bill" Chism.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel - 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville with Pastor Eric Martin and Reverend Robert A. Nall officiating. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 until 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at Boone Funeral Home - East Chapel.
