Earl P. Marshall, 90, of Evansville went to be with his heavenly father on Tuesday, April, 1, 2014, at Deaconess Hospital surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on March 20, 1924 in Evansville.
He was a member of Light of Faith Pentecostal Church. Earl enjoyed going to church, reading the Bible and spending time with his family. He was a devoted Christian.
Earl served his country during WWII in the 143rd infantry. He earned three Bronze Stars, a Good Conduct Medal and a Victory Medal. Earl was a proud solider.
He retired from the Creasey Company. He was a truck driver for Federal Produce for more than 25 years.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Sr. and Ella (Whitsell) Marshall; Brothers, Robert Jr. and Donald Marshall; and daughter, Carolyn Barbara.
He is survived by his son and daughter in-law, Dennis and Kathy Marshall of Evansville; sisters, Virginia Robinson of Newburgh, Rose Minnick of Evansville, June Pate of Evansville; and grandchildren; Amy Marshall of New Orleans, Dennis Kyle Marshall of Evansville, Kassi Marshall of Evansville, Joey Marshall of Cincinnati, David and John Barbara of Mishawaka; five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 4 p.m., Monday, April 7, 2014, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Rev. Barry Paddock Jr. with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery at a later date. Friends may visit from 2 p.m. until the service time on Monday at the funeral home.
