Edward F. Helsley
Edward F. Helsley, 69, of Bernalillo, N.M., passed away January 6, 2013.
He was born in Evansville, Ind., to Marguerite Raney and Edward Helsley. Edward graduated from Reitz Memorial High School in 1961 and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California in 1966. Shortly after commencement, Edward joined the Air Force where he later earned the Distinguished Flying Cross for his service as a pilot in Vietnam. After his military service, he spent his corporate career in the elevator industry. Edward had a thirst for adventure and loved traveling; Alaska and Mexico were his favorite destinations. He was also passionate about aviation and collecting art.
Edward is survived by two children: John Helsley, of San Diego, and Elizabeth Helsley, of Mexico City; and granddaughter, Jillian Helsley. He is also survived by his loyal Golden Retriever, Goldie.
