Floyd R. Fark, 77, of Evansville passed away at 2:10 am, Friday, February 1, 2013 at St. Mary's Medical Center.
Floyd was born January 25, 1936 in Evansville the son of Chester and Adalina (Barton) Fark. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and attended Evansville General Baptist Church. Floyd worked at Whirpool for 19 years and as a laborer for the City of Evansville for 11 years. He was a member of the Order of the Owls, Nest 30. Floyd loved singing, dancing, and playing a base guitar. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Thelma (Edwards) Fark of Evansville, daughters, Yolanda (Jerry) Spence of Newburgh and Kimberly Hassel of Evansville, sons, Robby (Linda) Fark of Evansville and Jeff DeMoss of Henderson, KY, sister, Katherine Day of Chandler, IN, brothers, Jim and Herman Fark, both of Evansville, grandchildren, Bobbie Jo Hebeisen, Amy Robbins, Robby Lee Fark, Morgan Fark, Dustina Armour and Arron DeMoss and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Tony DeMoss and sister, Francis Smith
Funeral Services will be held at 10 am, Monday, February 4, 2013 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel - 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville with Reverend James Pickerill officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery where the Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans Memorial Club will perform full military rites..
Friends may call from 3 pm until 7 pm, Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Boone Funeral Home - East Chapel and again from 9 am until time of service at 10 am, Monday.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Evansville General Baptist Church, 2002 Hicks Dr., Evansville, IN 47714.
