Hallie Doris (Lambert) Fleeger, 90 of Evansville, passed away at 7:52 am, Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Hamilton Pointe Health and Rehabilitation Center. Hallie Doris (Lambert) Fleeger was born October 2, 1923 in Elberfeld, IN the last of 13 children born to the late James and Florence (Burnett) Lambert. She was a charter member of Watson Lane Baptist Church in Henderson, KY and a member of Harwood Baptist Church in Evansville. Hallie retired from Whirlpool, a member of Local #808. She was also a member of VFW Post #1114 Ladies Auxiliary and Germania Maennerchor Auxiliary. Hallie enjoyed attending church and going to the Lambert Family reunions. She was the only family member to attend all the reunions since they started 55 years ago. Hallie loved her flower gardens and enjoyed genealogy, quilting, scrap booking, fishing, bingo, dancing and attending the Red Hat Society meetings.
She is survived by her son, Douglas Newman (Ruthann) of Henderson, KY; grandchildren, Chad and Matt Smith, both of Henderson, KY and Tami Perkins of Santa Fe, TX; great-grandchildren, Kelsey,and Wade Perkins of Santa Fe, TX; Carson Smith of Henderson; step-children, Tina Reger of Lebanon, IN and Chuck Singer (Tami) of Carmel, IN; step-grandchildren, Charles "Chad" Singer III, Christine Singer and Zack, Josh and Megan Reger and several nieces and nephews. Hallie was also blessed with loving caregivers, Ruthann Newman, Sharon Melton, Ruth Wallis and Casey Knutke.
She was preceded in death by former husbands, Oatley Fleeger, Charles Singer, Sr., and Wayman Newman and siblings, Roy, Arthur, Lee Owen and Bob Lambert and Blanche Quiero, Jeannette Minor, Beatrice Engelhardt, Marie Austill, Eva House, Lila Fahey, Pearl Bess and June Rideout
Funeral Services will be held at 11 am, Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel-5330 Washington Ave., Evansville with Rev. Reno Demuth officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 pm until 7 pm, Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Boone Funeral Home - East Chapel and 10 am Wednesday.
