Joseph "Bud" Rumage, Jr.
Newburgh, IN
Joseph S. "Bud" Rumage, Jr., age 81, of Newburgh, IN passed away Sunday, February 10, 2013 at his home.
Mr. Rumage had worked for the Army Corps of Engineers at the Newburgh Lock and Dam, where he had served as lockmaster. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, bicycling and fishing, but most of all enjoyed his family.
Surviving Bud are his daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Rick Myers of Newburgh; two granddaughters, Sarah and Hannah Myers; sisters, Dorothy (Howard) Beaven of Fenton, MO, Irene Kaiser of Huntingburg, IN, Jeri (Tom) Kempf, Maryrose Rumage and Jenny (Ken) Grose, all of Evansville, Barbara (Howard) Heneisen and Paulette (Ron) Anderson of Cadiz, KY and Dodie (John) Alber of Highland, IL; a brother, John (Judy) Rumage of Inverness, FL and two sisters-in-law, Jean Forler of Santa Claus, IN and Diana Potter of Evansville.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Norma Lee (Ritter) Rumage; parents, Joseph and Catherine Rumage and a brother, Jim Rumage.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Pierre Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Memorial Park Mausoleum, where the Vanderburgh County Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military rites.
Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
