Larry Joe Horn
Larry Joe Horn, 68 of Newburgh passed away at 7:30 am, Thursday, February 13, 2014 at VNA Plus Charlier Hospice Care Center.
Larry was born March 1, 1945 in Eureka, IN the son of the late Joe and Mary (Barnett) Horn. He was a member of New Day Fellowship. Larry was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired from Alcoa after 32 years of service. Larry enjoyed classic cars and was one of the founding members of Old Tin Street Rods Car Club. He was a devoted husband and father who loved spending time with family and playing with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Joann (McPherson) Horn of Newburgh, IN;
children, Tammie Corder (Dwayne) of Newburgh, IN and Bradley Abbott (Kim) of Decatur, IL; siblings, Reba Underhill, Terri Causey (Charles) and Garry Horn (Maria), all of Evansville; grandchildren, Connor and Anna Corder
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Connie Reed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at New Day Fellowship Church, 4977 Vann Rd., Newburgh at 3:30 pm on Saturday, February 22, 2014, with Pastor Paul Cavender officiating.
Friends may call from 2 pm until time of service at 3:30 pm, Saturday at New Day Fellowship.
Boone Funeral Home-East Chapel, 5330 Washington Ave., Evansville will be handling the arrangements.
