Linden S. Brant, 88, of Evansville passed away at 3:30 pm, Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Newburgh Health Care.
Linden was born December 24, 1923 in Evansville the son of Hobart and Mabel (Sims) Brant. He was a 1941 graduate of Bosse High School. Linden was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving during WWII as a fortress radio operator and gunner. He has worked at Indiana Bell for 9 years and then started W.O. Tank Truck Service. Linden had owned D & B Diagnostic Garage on Congress Avenue for two years. For 35 years he owned and operated Brant Mud Company which supplied the oil industry. He was a member of the Oil and Gas Association of Kentucky, Illinois and Indiana, Eagles, Elks and Kennel Club.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Joan (Moore) Brant of Evansville, daughters, Susan "Jan" Zehner and Kristie Lynn Hayden, both of Evansville and Deena Jo Stovall (Mike) of Gurnee, IL, sister, Beverly Sandleben of Evansville, 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Kathleen Fowler and Roberta Brant and brother-in-law, Jack Sandleben.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 am, Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel - 5330 Washington Avenue, Evansville with Pastor Mark Martin officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 pm until 7 pm, Friday, December 14, 2012 at Boone Funeral Home - East Chapel.
