Lynn Elder "Pete" Hall
Evansville, Ind.
Lynn Elder "Pete" Hall, 94, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Heritage Center.
Lynn was born in Cannelton, Indiana on December 23, 1917 to the late William and Henrietta (Simmons) Hall. Lynn served in the United States Army in the 1st Cavalry Division. He was a 65 year member of IBEW local 16. Lynn was a past commander and a current member of the VFW Post 2953. He was an accomplished poet and a longtime member of Albright United Methodist Church.
Lynn is survived by his daughter, Carol L. Hall of Evansville, IN; son, Gene A. (Helen) Hall of Haubstadt, IN; grandchildren, Katherine Williamson, Elizabeth Taylor, Kathleen Fisher and Elizabeth Fisher; great granddaughter, Madison Williamson and nieces and nephews.
Lynn is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Mildred K. (Wulf) Hall in 2009; his parents; sister, Alice Richey; and brothers, Clarence, Ernest, Irvin and Sidney Hall.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor Steve Brown officiating. Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery where the Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military rites.
Friends may visit from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Friday, November 23, 2012 at Browning Funeral Home.
