Margaret 'Margie' Shane
Evansville, Ind.
Margaret 'Margie' Shane, 58, of Los Angeles, Calif., passed away after a lengthy illness on Friday, July 12, 2013.
Margie graduated from Harrison High School (1973) in Evansville, Ind., where she spent her entire childhood. She attended Miami University (Oxford) and graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in advertising/communications. Margie worked for Foote, Cone & Belding in Chicago, Ill., for several years before pursuing an acting career. Her interest in acting led her to Los Angeles, where she spent her remaining years.
Margie was preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis Bader Shane; and her brother-in-law, Ronald S. Pretekin.
Marge is survived by her father, Sidney (Roberta), of Boca Raton, Fla., her sister, Cindy Pretekin, of Clayton, Michael Shane (Felice), of Dayton; six nieces and nephews, Jodi Watts (Jeremy), Brian and Dan Pretekin, Lindi, Allison and Jordan Shane; and her great-nephew, Brandon Watts.
Funeral Service will be held at Temple Israel, 130 Riverside Drive on Sunday, July 14, 2013, at 2p.m. with interment immediately following, Rabbi Karen Bodney-Halasz officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Margie's memory may be made to National Ovarian Cancer Coalition or a charity of your choosing. BRADFORD - CONNELLY & GLICKLER FUNERAL HOME handling arrangements.
