Patrick "Pat" Allen Rumsey

Patrick "Pat" Allen Rumsey, 66, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Deaconess Hospital.
Pat was born in Rosiclare, Illinois on July 24, 1947 to the late Samuel Ernest and Helen Virginia (Stone) Rumsey. He was a United States Army veteran, serving in the Vietnam War. Pat was a teacher of automotive technology and worked with the Job Corps in Morganfield, Kentucky. He was a car enthusiast who enjoyed going to the Frog Follies and he also enjoyed drag racing and going to car shows.
Pat is survived by his wife of 5 years, Cherryl (Bailey) Rumsey of Evansville; sons, Shawn Rumsey (Stacy) of Evansville, IN, Shane Rumsey (DeAnna) of Denver, CO; step daughters, Danesha Whitlock, Geneva Noble, Chekinah and Angela Noble all of Evansville, IN; sisters, Rebecca "Becky" Cosby (Wayne), Jill Rumsey-Riecken (Mark) both of Evansville, IN; brother, Michael "Mike" Rumsey (Marilyn) of Newburgh, IN; grandchildren, Spencer, Riley and Logan; step grandchildren, Ciara, Brielle W., Avionna, Geniyah, Romie, Christopher Jr. and Chanell; great grandchildren, Embry and Fox; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of Pat's life will be held from 8:00 A.M. until 9:00 A.M. on Wednesday December 18, 2013 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Avenue, Evansville, IN 47711.
