Percy H. Buckman, 88, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2012, at Golden Living Center Woodlands in Newburgh.
Percy retired from Whirlpool Corp. after 36 years.
During World War II Percy served five years in the First Armored Division of the U.S. Army. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 200 in Boonville and a member of Local 808.
Percy was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda Buckman, in 2006.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Geneva (Lankford) of Chandler; son, David Buckman and his wife, Mary Ellen; grandson, Kyle; aunt, Nina and uncle, Bill Dacy; sister-in-law, Mae Redman; nieces and nephews, Norman Redman Jr., Karen Morris, Jerry Redman and Cindy Baumeyer; and several other nieces and nephews.
Graveside service is 11 a.m. Monday, June 4, 2012, at Greenwood Cemetery in Chandler, with military rites by the Warrick County Veteran Memorial Services. Rev. Fred Denton will officiate the service.
There will be no visitation at Koehler Funeral Home Perigo Chapel in Chandler.
