Ronald Leslie Coultas
Evansville, Ind.
Ronald Leslie Coultas, 62, of Crowley, Texas, formerly of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014 at his residence.
Ron was born in Evansville, Indiana on June 20, 1951 to James Robert and Barbara (Utley) Coultas. He graduated from Harrison High School in 1969 and was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1971. He was a Vietnam Veteran and was based in Cam Rahn Bay. Ron returned to Evansville and graduated from USI with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. He worked in many fields including the University of Texas, Austin Roofers Supply and Stone Company, Texas Back Institute and Lennar Homes and Computer Sciences Corporation. Most recently, Ron owned his own trucking company. He loved to golf and spend time with his family. Ron was also proud to be a lifetime member of the VFW Post #1114.
Ron is survived by his son, Ryan Coultas of Austin, TX; mother, Barbara (Utley) Coultas of Evansville; brother, Malcolm (Lindy) Coultas of Evansville; sisters, Linda Sue Coultas of Huntington, IN, and Nancy L. Lepsch of Evansville; and by his grandmother, Sylvia Coultas of Evansville. Ron is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Ron is preceded in death by his father, James Robert "Jim" Coultas; brother-in-law, Richard Lepsch; nephew, Jeremy Lepsch; and grandfather, Leslie Coultas.
A Celebration of Ron's life will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor Carl Mann II officiating. Friends may visit from 12:00 Noon until 4:00 PM on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Browning Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VFW Post #1114, 110 North Wabash Avenue of Flags, Evansville, IN, 47715.
