William C. Hepler
Evansville, Ind.
William "Grasshopper" Hepler, 91, passed away peacefully Monday, July 7, 2014, at Deaconess Hospital surrounded by family and friends.
Grasshopper was a World War II veteran and Purple Heart Medal recipient. He was a farmer, crop duster, upholsterer, oil producer and Armstrong Township Trustee. He was also a member of the Hadi Shrine.
William is predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Marian L. Hepler. He is survived by his three sons, William II (Linda), Stephen (Hollie) and Michael (Rose); six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his sister, Pat Smith.
Friends may visit with the family from 1 until 5 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2014, at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street, where there will be a memorial service conducted at 2 p.m. Rev. Eugene Schroeder officiating.
