William C. Keown, 90, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2016. He was born in West Louisville, KY on Jun. 20, 1925 to Shirley & Pauline (Clouse) Keown.
Bill is preceded in death by his wife, Elberta Keown; sons, Timothy Ray Keown, Patrick Keown & John Keown; brother, Colonel Leroy Keown; sisters, Mary Sammet, Martha Faulkner & the mother of his children, Anna Lois Keown.
Bill is survived by his sons, William "Joe" (Ruth Ann) Keown, James "Bill" (Vickie) Keown & Dennis "Mike" Keown; daughters, Linda Canary & Mary (Jordan) Gertisen; 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren & sister, Alma Mae Reinitz
Bill started working for Farm Bureau Oil Co. left to enter the Army in WWII, returned to Farm Bureau after the war. He retired from Whirlpool Corp. in Evansville in 1980 to spend time on his farm in Bullocktown. He was a life time member of American Legion & VFW Post in Boonville, enjoyed attending local parades & events with his horse & buggy.
Mass of Christian Burial 10 am Friday, February 26, 2016 at St. Rupert Catholic Church in Red Brush, IN. Visitation Thursday 3 - 7 pm at Bradley's Colonial Chapel, 1005 E. Main St. Boonville, IN & 1 hr. before mass at Church. Interment St. Alphonsus Cemetery in West Louisville, KY. Condolences to the family can be sent to www.bradleyscc.com
