Brandon served as an enlisted soldier in the Texas Army National Guard since 2010. He was in the 236th Engineer Company, 111th Engineer Battalion, 176th Engineer Brigade, in Lewisville. He attended Bell Manor Elementary School in Bedford and Central Junior High in Euless. He was a 2011 graduate of L.D. Bell High School in Bedford and attended Tarrant County Community College. Brandon touched so many lives during the short time he was present on this earth. He was known to some as "BB," "Brando," or simply "Bro." To his many friends and to his family, Brandon was a kind and generous soul. Whether providing safe haven for those with nowhere else to go or by simply lending a sympathetic shoulder to cry on, he always tried to do the best he could to make any situation better. He was the most loving and caring son, brother and grandson. Brandon was known as a great soldier, a great "battle buddy," and an even greater friend to all he touched. His life ambition was to become a police officer to serve the community we live in. We will continue to hear Brandon's laughter and see his beautiful, big smile as he will continue to live in our hearts forever. Brandon was preceded in passing by his father, Mack Odell Bennett; and grandparents, Norris and Kleita Meyers, and Jimmie Hampton. Survivors: His mother, Brenda Holden; stepfather, William Holden; brother, Jacob Perrin and wife, Jessika; sister, Kristen Perrin; stepsisters, Zoe Holden, Paige Kim and husband, Hyusoo; niece, Eloise; stepbrother, Max Holden; grandparents, Kay Hampton, Mack and Floy Bennett; aunt, Paige Franks and husband, Daniel; cousin, Rowan Franks; uncles, Ron Meyers and wife, Lynda, and Tim Meyers; and many, many other extended family members and friends. "Softly the leaves of memory fall; gently I gather and treasure them all; unseen, unheard you are always near; so missed, so loved, so very dear."
