Deborah Sue Knott Obituary
Deborah Sue Knott, 59, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014, from diabetes complications while surrounded by her loving family and friends at a Fort Worth hospital. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, in Biggers Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to TCAP, The Texas Coalition for Animal Protection. Debbie was born July 13, 1955, in Portugal (Azores Islands) to Gerald Sr. and Irma Knott. She was a registered Girl Scout known as "Stary" for over 30 years. She lived all over the U.S. before her Air Force father and family settled in Fort Worth. She graduated from North Side High School, class of 1973, and attended Texas Tech University before graduating from the University of Texas at Arlington with a bachelor of fine arts degree. Debbie was an enthusiastic world traveler, an avid jewelry maker, collector and, most importantly, a giving and supportive aunt and sister. She was a longtime Sears employee before working for the U.S. Postal Service, where she retired after more than 25 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gerald "Jerry" Knott. Survivors: Sisters, Lori Knott of Saginaw and Tracey Reinhart and husband, Cam, of Lewisville; her close nieces and nephews, Jerome Knott, Jessica Knott, Cherie Knott, Alexander Reinhart, and Abbey Reinhart; and numerous friends and extended family.
