Donald M. Asa, 86, went home to his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, in Granbury. Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, at First Presbyterian Church of Granbury. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury. Don Asa was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. He was born May 14, 1928, in Irvington, Iowa. He married his high school sweetheart, Janie Brown of Algona, Iowa, in New York while serving in the U.S. Navy and was blessed with 64 years together and four children. Don was always a man with a dedicated heart of service. He was a distinguished worker for Ford Motor Company for over 40 years. He took pride in working hard to provide for his family and to give back to his community. Don had been a well-respected citizen of Granbury since 1977.
