Don Bowzer passed away Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at an Arlington hospital surrounded by family. Celebration of life: 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at Community of Hope United Methodist Church, Mansfield. Don was born June 30, 1944, in Macon, Mo., the son of James Franklin Bowzer and Shirley Anne Dove Bowzer. He married Susi on Oct. 21, 1995, in Springfield, Mo. Don was an active member of Community of Hope UMC in Mansfield. He had also been active in DeMolay, Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star in Macon, Mo. He was also a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles in Springfield, Mo. Don enjoyed bowling, playing golf, watching the St. Louis Cardinals baseball and Dallas Mavericks basketball. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was retired for several years. Survivors: His wife of 17 years, Susi; children and their spouses, James Lance Bowzer and Shakira, Anne Rayna Lawson and Frank, Troy Bowzer and Olivia Barnes; and grandchildren, Amber and Dustin Lawson, Ian and Elle Bowzer, Keith Hazlip and Lillee Bowzer.
