Gabriel Anton Budaus Sr. Obituary
Gabriel Anton Budaus Sr., 91, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012. Service: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel. The service will be officiated by his grandson, Ryan, and all of his other grandchildren will act as pallbearers. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Laurel Land Funeral Home. Gabriel was born Jan. 14, 1921, in Fort Worth to Gabriel Victor and Mary Rose Budaus. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard. He was a loving husband and daddy and was totally dedicated to his family. He worked in circulation for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram for 49 1/2 years, and finished his career at LTV. He was a 32nd-degree Master Mason and Shriner, having earned his 50-year pin. The family wishes to express a special thanks to the folks at Gardendale Hospice for the love and caring provided for their father. Gabriel was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Survivors: Loving wife of 67 years, Christine Budaus; son, Gabriel Budaus Jr. (Sissy); daughters, Barbara Bishop, Christi Begole (Tim) and Becky Kopplin (Randy); grandchildren, Marc Budaus (Judy), Matt Budaus (Toni), Gabriel Budaus (Stacie), Melissa Hill (Robert), Brandon Bishop (Jill), Ryan Bishop (Kelli), Timothy Begole (Therese), Anton Begole (Laurie), Andrew Begole, Christopher Begole, Maxx Begole, Klay Koppin (Bonie), Marcus Kopplin (Aimee), Kristina Kopplin (Andrew Hegmann) and Beckie Kopplin; great-grandchildren, Ashton, Tyler, Madelyn and Austin Budaus, Tessa and Hogan Hill, Joshua, Aby, Isabel, Caleb and Evie Bishop, Timothy and Jack Begole, Jeremy Combs, Aiden and Sadie Kopplin; and numerous other family members and friends.
