Herman Lee Crow Obituary
Dr. Herman L. Crow, beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2013, at a Bedford hospital after a brief illness. Service: 10 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home, Colleyville. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Dr. Crow's memory to the Scholarship Fund at Tarrant County College or the American Red Cross. Dr. Crow was born July 13, 1919, in Johnson County to the late Hiram and Ethel Crow. Dr. Crow, a proud U.S. Army veteran and member of the Greatest Generation, participated in the Battle of the Bulge, serving in the 3rd Army under Gen. George Patton. Dr. Crow was an educator for over 47 years, serving as president of Tarrant County College Northeast Campus from 1978 to 1995. Predeceasing Dr. Crow are his parents and eight siblings. Survivors: Sister, Kathryn Dickert of New Jersey; 16 nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and great-nephews; numerous cousins; and many longtime friends, including very special friends, Larry and Leta Bell and Mary Wheat.
