James Monroe Cacy Obituary
James Monroe Cacy, 68, passed away Friday, June 6, 2014. Memorial service: 1 p.m. Saturday, June 14, in White's Azle Chapel. Interment: at a later date in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Memorials: . James was born Sept. 22, 1945, in Dallas. He entered the United States Army in 1963. He served in the Vietnam War from 1965 to 1966 and served in the Army Reserves until 1969. James returned to San Antonio and married the love of his life, Linda Vanderburg, on Nov. 14, 1966. James served in the American Legion for the past three years. He retired in 2011 from Plaza Medical Center after 25 years of service. James dearly loved his family and friends and will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Shirley Martin; and brother, Billy Cacy. Survivors: Wife of 47 years, Linda Cacy; daughter, Sheila Howell and husband, Tim; son, Michael Cacy and wife, Andrea; granddaughters, Emily and Avery Howell; grandson, Landry Cacy; sisters, Lavelle Ivie, Linda Roberts and Kaye Leslie; brothers, Carroll Cacy and Steven Bickley; and extended family members and friends.
