Jeremy Wayne Linn Obituary
Jeremy Wayne Linn, a U.S. Army captain, 32, reported for service to his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 8, 2014, while at home in the arms of his loving wife, Frishta Linn. Service: 11:30 a.m. Sunday, April 27, at Memorial Park, North Richland Hills. A celebration of life will follow from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden-Gardens Restaurant. Family and friends are encouraged to wear orange, Jeremy's favorite color. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Jeremy's memory to The Fisher House, Base Camp 40, or Operation Once in a Lifetime, all of which afforded Jeremy and Frishta opportunities and adventures that they enjoyed during his last year. Jeremy was born Nov. 3, 1981, in Manhattan, Kan. He traveled the world and graduated from high school in Vicenza, Italy. Capt. Linn graduated from Slippery Rock University and earned a commission in the U.S. Army Military Police Corps in 2004. Jeremy served his country faithfully with tours in El Salvador, Afghanistan and Iraq, where he was awarded the Bronze Star for his selfless service. Jeremy met his soul mate, Frishta Suha, while both were working as instructors at Fort Polk, La. They married in 2011 and shared a life filled with laughter, devotion and an inspirational love for each other. Jeremy was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. His passion for marksmanship and all things involving shooting was passed on to many, especially his stepbrother, Tyler. Although he suffered the ravages of cancer, he never complained but rather offered inspiration and encouragement to others. His spirit was witness to all who knew him. Jeremy and Frishta filled the last year with many adventures, touching many lives along the way. They were adamant that this disease would not interfere with their living and loving. A special appreciation and thank-you is offered to those who cared for Jeremy both medically and spiritually. He lived his life fully, due in no small part to all those who loved, supported and uplifted him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Noreen Cynthia Angel; maternal grandfather; paternal grandparents; and father-in-law, Habib Suha. Survivors: His devoted wife, Frishta Suha Linn; father and stepmother, Eric and Teresa Linn; stepfather and wife, Terry and Aleta Angel; mother-in-law, Parwin M. Suha; grandmother, Vivian Cadwallader; stepbrother, Tyler Oliver; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
