John Allen Cobb Obituary
John Allen Cobb of Bedford passed away Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family. Memorial service: 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at St. Laurence Church, 519 N. Kimball Ave., Southlake. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the , heart.org, or the North Texas Basset Hound Rescue, bassetrescuedfw.org. Born to Wayne and Helen Cobb on March 2, 1929, in Indianapolis, Ind., he honorably served his country in the Army during the Korean War, returning to secure a civil engineering degree from Purdue University. John's career in industrial sales and small-business ownership took him across the country, then to the Mid-Cities area where he resided most of his adult life. Dedicated and active in his parish, St. Laurence Church in Southlake, he was a faithful servant and was blessed with a wide circle of friends. Survivors: His wife, Marilyn "Lynn" Cobb; sons, Michael Cobb (Tracy), Greggory Hudson (Sharon), Andrew Hudson (Dee Lynne) and Timothy Hudson (Leigh); and five grandchildren.
