Joseph Stanley Jedrusiak Obituary
Joseph Stanley Jedrusiak, 80, passed away peacefully Monday, July 28, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst. Additional service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Piney Grove Baptist Church in Pittsburg, with burial in Piney Grove Cemetery. Joe was a loving husband, an outstanding father, a fantastic salesman and an amazing man. He wasn't famous, but was admired by many. He was not a celebrity, but celebrated life to the fullest every day. He never met a stranger. He was a U.S Air Force veteran of the Korean War, an avid hunter, fisher, outdoorsman and sports enthusiast. He led by example and was always active and truly living life. He could sell ice to an Eskimo and there would be no buyer's remorse afterward. He was a man of integrity, honesty, good humor and strength. He will be missed by all who knew him. Survivors: Wife of 55 years, Naomi; son, Joseph Kevin of Cleburne; daughter, Melanie Kim of Ventura, Calif.; brothers, Stanley of Nevada, Frank and John of New Jersey; sister Florence of Florida; in-laws, A.B. and Billie Faye Nelson of Pittsburg; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
