Linda Louise Chance Cumbie, 55, was reunited with her Father the morning of Tuesday, April 29, 2014. Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at The Hills Church in North Richland Hills. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Mount Olivet. Linda was born May 10, 1958, in Odessa to Louise N. Chance, the second of three children. She graduated from Richland High School in 1976, and in June 1977, she married the love of her life, Daniel K. Cumbie. Together they raised three beautiful daughters. Linda was a graduate of University of Texas Arlington, School of Nursing and a registered nurse in the state of Texas. She worked at Cook Children's Medical Center for 17 years, but was also a constant nurturer to her family, friends and all those around her as well. She had a true servant's heart and was a woman of great caring and compassion. She loved instantly and unconditionally, always inviting of her daughters' friends in their home. She loved her precious Chihuahuas and treated them like her own babies. Linda battled illness for four years, undergoing several surgeries and hospital stays. She was preceded in death by her father, John D. Chance, and will be reunited with her loving husband of 34 years, Daniel K. Cumbie. Survivors: Daughters, Leann Cumbie Turner (Randy Turner), Lauren Cumbie (Brent Mischnick), Lisa Cumbie Hernandez (Blas Hernandez); mother, Louise N. Chance; siblings, Kathleen Barnett (Charlie) and John Chance (Jeff Fletcher); granddaughter, Daniella Hernandez; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
