Melton Gary "Pee Wee" Angell Obituary
Melton Angell, 75, completed his journey in this life Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, after he bravely battled cancer with his family at his side. Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 23, in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Gary was born Nov. 21, 1937, in Fort Worth to Thomas and Gaynel Angell. He attended North Side High School. He was a former lath, plastering contractor, DHJ Little League coach and DHJ Pee Wee football coach. He retired from the U.S. Navy Seabee Unit and Vought Aircraft. Gary was a member of VFW and American Legion Post 655. He enjoyed and loved his family very much. He also loved traveling, casino trips and bingo. Our lives will not be the same without him. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Gaynell Angell; and his brothers and sisters. Survivors: Evelyn Marie Douglas and husband, Frankie, Teresa Belew and husband, Chris, and Douglas Gary Angell; brother, Don Angell and wife, Barbara; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
