Milton Wayne Ferguson, 88, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, April 22, 2014, and is now in God's merciful hands. Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at Edge Park United Methodist Church, 5616 Crowley Road. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mount Olivet. Wayne graduated from high school in Ballinger and then joined the U.S. Army Air Corps and served his country for two years during World War II as a tail gunner in a bomber that flew missions in Southeast Asia. Together they raised a family of four children, and were charter members of Edge Park United Methodist Church in Fort Worth. Wayne was an outstanding citizen of his community, a loving and generous patriarch of his family, and he will be greatly missed. He was predeceased by his parents, Daniel Dee and Luna Mae Ferguson; and sister, Marion Anita Kaplan. Survivors: Wife of 63 years, Eleanor Ann Ferguson; daughters, Beverly Gay Longenbaugh, Aletha Ruth Williamson, Judith Elaine Hall; son, Paul Daniel Ferguson, all of Fort Worth; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and brother, Hanford Craig Ferguson of Austin.
