Reymundo Franco Obituary
Reymundo Franco, 89, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014. Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at All Saints Catholic Church. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Rosary: 6 p.m. Monday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Reymundo was born Sept. 21, 1924, in Ecleto to Juan and Maria Franco. He married Matilda Reyes in October 1946. He worked as a meat trimmer for Armour & Co. in Fort Worth. He enjoyed his retirement by working in his yard and being surrounded by family and friends. Reymundo was a World War II veteran who served as a paratrooper and earned an American Campaign Medal, a Purple Heart and a Bronze Arrowhead. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a daughter, Sulema Pena; and a granddaughter, Melissa M. Pena. Survivors: Daughter, Alice Arredondo and husband, Gilbert; sons, David Franco of Modesto, Calif., and Ray Franco; son-in-law, Albert Pena; grandchildren, Marie and Sergio Villarreal, Gilbert Arredondo Jr., Cindy Arredondo, John and Claudia Pena, Melissa Alva, Alexis Pena, Phillip Franco, Marcus Franco, David Franco Jr. and Victoria, and Maria T. Cooney; great-grandchildren, Adriana, Gilbert III, Mariah, Mariah R., Steven, Katelyn, Allyson, Isabella, Ava, Jason, Maddie, Elena, Marisela and Jordan; and numerous nephews and nieces throughout Texas.
