Ronald Theodore Yaggi Obituary
Ronald Theodore "Ted" Yaggi passed away at his home on Wednesday, June 25, 2014. He suffered from complications of Parkinson's disease. Service: Private. Box 4777, New York, N.Y. 10163-4777, or online at Ted Yaggi was born in Louisville, Ky., on Dec. 12, 1931, to Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Albert Yaggi. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1954 with a bachelor of science degree in industrial technology. Following graduation, Mr. Yaggi served as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Air Force as a pilot and a flight instructor. Ted Yaggi then began a 38-year career with General Dynamics, now Lockheed Martin. Mr. Yaggi took much pride in his work and was known by his co-workers and employees for his hard work and discipline. Ted Yaggi also delighted in his family. He married Wanda Jo Dorsett on July 3, 1955, and they forged a wonderful life together. Ted was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing, long road trips, playing Pokeno with dear friends, and especially Aggies football. He was the ultimate DIY expert - completing every home project to perfection. Mr. Yaggi was a longtime member of Richland Hills United Methodist Church. Survivors: Ted Yaggi is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Wanda; his children, Tim and his wife, Elizabeth, and Cindy Wayne and her husband, Steve; his grandchildren, Bryan and Kathryn Yaggi; his brother, Larry Yaggi and his wife, Kathie; and numerous nephews and nieces.
