Samuel Randolph Daniels Obituary
Samuel Randolph Daniels, 86, passed away peacefully Friday, Jan. 24, 2014. He now goes to be with his most beloved wife, Dolly, and son, Timothy. Service: 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in Laurel Land Chapel of Chimes. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in Laurel Land Chapel of Chimes. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Tarrant Area Food Bank. Sam Daniels was many things while on this earth. He was a loving husband, devoted father and dear friend. He was also a high school class president, Boy Scout, newspaper sports reporter, writer, inventor, collector, soldier, singer, seminary student, a fan of country music and train enthusiast. A self-taught mechanic, carpenter, plumber, electrician and machinist, nearly no challenge was too much for him. Sam Daniels spent over 20 years as an ordained Southern Baptist minister with congregations in Kansas and Florida. This effort ultimately defined his life, and he had an unwavering love of the Lord throughout his years. He ended his working career retiring from the Fort Worth Star-Telegram after many years helping to produce the local paper. Sam Daniels was loved by many and respected by everyone who knew him and will be sadly missed. Survivors: Children, Samuel Randolph Daniels III, Lyndon and wife, Carol Daniels, and Penny Judge; grandchildren, Christopher and Julie Daniels, Mark and Amy Daniels, and Sarah, Andrew and Peter Judge; and great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Layla and Sarah Daniels.
