Velma DeLeon-Perez Obituary
Velma DeLeon-Perez, 69, passed away peacefully, Friday, Aug. 8, 2014. Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Rosary: 6 p.m. Monday in Mount Olivet. Velma was born in San Diego in 1945. She lived a life dedicated to family and friends and was a genuine, kind, and generous woman. A lover of life, Velma enjoyed dancing, cooking, and spending time with her sons and grandchildren. She also loved the holidays, watching football, traveling, bowling, and gazing at the stars and planets. Velma was a role model to loved ones with the strength and perseverance displayed in defeating both colon and breast cancer. She will be dearly missed. Velma was preceded in death by her first husband, Rudy DeLeon, and brothers, Armando Munoz and Rufino Munoz. Survivors: Present husband, Felix Perez; her sons, Rudy, Edward, Andrew, Anthony DeLeon and their families; brothers, Raul and Bobby; sisters, Gracie, Sally and Lala.
