Deborah Ann Basham

Deborah Ann Basham, better known by those closest to her as Grammie, passed away on October 19, 2013 at Vanderbilt Medical Center after a prolonged fight with Breast Cancer.

Born on September 9, 1952 in Dickson, TN, she was a very loving, patient, and kind wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, who dedicated her life to caring for her family.

She leaves behind her husband of 40 years, Carl Edward Basham; sister, Linda Waggoner; daughters, Amanda (Basham) Ware, Alicia Basham, Angela Basham and Ashley (Basham) Purser; grandchildren, Kristin Chapman, Rebecca (Basham) Harris, D'Aundre McMillan, Dante Basham, Kindle Hope Ware, Grayson Ash and Alanna Purser; and great-grandchild, Lydia Harris.

A Memorial service will be held at the family's home in Wartrace, TN on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 2 p.m. Call (931) 389-1003 for more information.

God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be. So He wrapped His arms around you, and whispered, "Come to me." In our hearts you will live on, always there, never gone. You left too soon, and though we're apart, You will live forever…in our hearts.
