Jeffery "Jeff" Armour Marquis
Jeff Marquis, age 53, died January 25, 2013 in Kissimmee, FL in the arms of his loving wife after a short but valiant battle with cancer. Jeff was born in Kingsport, TN, and lived for a brief period of time in Sewanee, TN and New Johnsonville, TN.
He was a 1977 graduate of Oakland High School in Murfreesboro, TN where he was class president his senior year. He attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville for two years before transferring to the University of Florida in Gainesville where he obtained his bachelor's degree. Jeff was a happy, fun loving, young man and those who knew him will indeed miss him greatly. He was devoted to his family and friends. Jeff was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Murfreesboro, TN and St. Martin's Episcopal Church in Chattanooga, TN.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Carol, and three sons, Dustin (Alexis), Skylar, and Cody in Kissimmee, FL. He is also survived by his parents, Reverend James and Emmy Marquis, now residing in Memphis, TN, his brother, Jim Marquis (Cathy) of Denver, Colorado, and sister, Kay Marquis Anderson (Keith) of Memphis, three grandchildren, Grayson, Lucas, and Sky Marie of Kissimmee, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews in Tennessee and Florida.
