Jamie Leeane Rodgers Sears, Our precious Jamie, returned to her heavenly home on June 4, 2013, after a long courageous fight with cancer. By her side was her mother, grandmother and aunt Heidi. She was born July 3, 1975, in St. George, UT to Quinn B. and Diane Meyer Rodgers.
Jamie was the oldest of six children, she attended grade school in Washington and graduated from Pine View High School. She earned her associates degree from Dixie State College and bachelors degree from University of Utah, and a masters degree in Mental Health from the University of Phoenix.
Jamie was a mental counselor in North Dakota, she enjoyed her clients and they loved her. She was very talented. She was a true friend to all that knew her. She was a gifted clarinet player and loved music. She crocheted many quilts for those she loved. She loved to cook and try new recipes. She was a computer wiz and loved facebook.
Jamie was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and loved teaching the gospel, especially to children. She served a mission to Connecticut. She married her sweetheart Sebastian and wants him as her eternal partner. They lived a lot of life in their short marriage.
She is survived by: her husband Sebastian; parents, Quinn and Diane Rodgers; brothers Patrick (Cassie) Rodgers, Michael Meyer; Sisters, Karrie (Will) Smith, Kortney (Zach Thomas) Rodgers, and Monica Meyer; grandma Everal Bowler; grandpa Bert Rodgers; many cousins; nephews, Skyler and Oliver; and niece Tristen and dog Peggle.
A Memorial service will be held Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. George 2nd Ward LDS Chapel, 166 South Main, St. George, UT. The family would like to thank Horizon Hospice for their wonderful love and care.
