Eddie Alden Bray, 69, of 609 Alton Street, Elizabeth City, died Saturday, April 5, 2014 at his residence. A native of Perquimans County, he was the son of the late B. Frank Bray and Jennie Seymour Bray and the husband of Linda Sawyer Bray of the home. He was a former Police Officer with the Elizabeth City Police Department and more recently a computer technician and was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.
Besides his wife he is survived by three daughters, Jennifer B. Gillard and husband, Troy, of Elizabeth City, Suzy B. Woodell of Winston-Salem, and Dawn B. Musgrove and husband, Billy Jr., of Anchorage, AK; a son, Eddie A. Bray Jr. and wife, Lauren, of Fayetteville; a brother, William F. Bray and wife, Anne, of Lexington, S.C.; six grandchildren, Nolan Woodell, Jayla Gillard, Trent Gillard, Ashley Bray, Alden Bray and Gibson Bray; three nephews, and one niece. He was pre-deceased by a sister, Ann Parrish.
A graveside service will be Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 11 a.m. at West Lawn Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. David Turner officiating. The family will receive friends at the residence. Memorial donations may be made to Corinth Baptist Church, 1035 US 17 South, Elizabeth City, NC 27909 or to the
