Midford Martin Waller, 80, of 106 Jason Drive, Elizabeth City, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Albemarle Hospital. Born in Pittsburgh, Pa., he was the son of the late Midford Davison and Clarissa Dyson Waller and the husband of Dorcas Cox Waller. Mr. Waller was a veteran of the United States Navy and retired as a Service Center Supervisor with Verizon. He was a member of the Elizabeth City Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #1847, William Clarence Jackson Post #6060 VFW and the American Legion Hut, Elizabeth City, Post #223. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Wendy Waller of Elizabeth City; a son, Don Waller and wife, Sharon, of Kill Devil Hills; a sister, Edith W. Cartwright of Palmyra, Va.; and a brother, Robert Waller of Augusta, S.C. A memorial service with military honors provided by William Clarence Jackson Post #6060 VFW will be held Monday, May 13, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Twiford Memorial Chapel, 405 E. Church St., Elizabeth City with the Rev. F. Joe Griffith officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home and at other times at the residence.
