Hugh Green McLennan
May 11, 1928-June 11, 2014
Born in Speedgleville, Texas, Hugh G. McLennan graduated from A.J Moore High School and then enlisted in the US Army where he rose to the rank of Sergeant First Class. After serving in the Korean War and receiving an honorable discharge, he married Burma Faye Haynes in 1953. Together they moved to California where they raised three sons in Wilmington and where he had several successful careers including owner of a concrete construction company and real estate investor. Hugh passed away quietly in his sleep after a prolonged illness. He was preceded in death by his son, Hugh Gregory Jr, and is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Burma Faye, sons Michael Dennis and Jeffrey, his brother Homer, his sister Marie as well as six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a host of other relatives. Visitation on Wed, June 18th from 3-8 pm followed by the Funeral Service at 1 pm on Thurs, June 19th. Both services to be held at Green Hills Mortuary 27501 S.
