James (Jim) Moran Jr.
James (Jim) Moran, age 90, passed away peacefully at his home in Rancho Palos Verdes on April 6, 2014, after a long and valiant battle with a debilitating illness. He proudly served in the U.S. Marines during World War II, earning a Purple Heart. Upon his return, he graduated from USC. Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Mae Louise Moran, his daughters, Kathy (Alex) Ramos and Janet (Pat) Florek, Sister Dorothy Benesh. He also leaves 6 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and a niece and nephew. Jim is preceded in death by his daughter, Carole Larriva. He loved his family and we will miss him dearly. Services will be held at 11am on Monday, April 14, 2014 at McNerney's Mortuary followed by interment at Green Hills Memorial Park.
