Larry Bowman, longtime resident of Torrance, passed away on February 13, 2014 in Murrieta, California. Larry was born in New York and moved to Los Angeles in 1936. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1951 then entered the Marine Corps and served in Korea until June, 1954. He married Marie Iacobellis on September 5 of that year. After their children were born, Larry attended law school at night while working as an accountant by day. He was at his law firm, now known as Hitchcock, Bowman and Schachter, for 50 years, retiring in 2013. He was also involved with the Rotary Club and Torrance Chamber of Commerce. Larry enjoyed golfing as a member of the Rolling Hills and Indian Wells Country Clubs. Beloved wife, Marie, preceded him in death in 2007. He is survived by his children, Michelle Brown (David) of Chico, Greg Bowman (Miranda) of Murrieta, grandchildren, Christopher Brown, Elizabeth Hill (Joshua), Richard Brown, Caroline Brown, Derek Bowman and Nicole Bowman, sister, Gerry Macchia, sister-in-law, Roseanne (Michael) Haboush, cousins, Joan Hays and Barbara Sullivan as well as many nieces and nephews. Larry is also survived by his loving significant other of 6 years, Elaine Lundborg. Larry was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather whose extreme generosity and ever-present humor will truly be missed! "Thanks for blessing us in so many ways
